"I was overweight with increasingly poor health markers, but struggled to be consistent about better choices in diet and exercise. I would eat fairly well for a week or two but then revert to old patterns. Any exercise seemed beyond me. In the last year, I noticed that I was losing hair at an alarming rate, which I attributed to something lacking in my diet. Just prior to contacting WIB, I was trying to eat mostly nutrient-dense food, but I was inconsistent. Now, my ability to climb the stairs improved dramatically when I stopped eating wheat. Most days I can walk up to 5 miles without difficulty, and quite easily if I break it into two or three shorter walks. Most days, I feel amazing. I have more energy and never have that afternoon crash. I enjoy everything I eat and getting outside every day."

"My health before joining the Wellness in Bloom community was average at best. I wasn't thinking about how much sugar I consumed, or I would skip meals sometimes, and think that it was ok. I thought that these habits were fine because I did eat vegetables and fruits and was mindful of my carb intake. I also snacked a lot after work. "Before working with Wellness in Bloom, my health was not good. I was always so tired, major brain fog and aches and pains were the norm for me. "Before working with Wellness in Bloom, I was anxious about my health and about food and eating. I’d been exposed to mold and had already been through some detox and was still having worrisome symptoms. I’d been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder since the exposure. I was tired and burnt out from a stringent regimen of supplements and from attempting to fashion the perfect diet to strengthen my body’s ability to fight off toxins and stay healthy in the face of the onslaught of diseases so prevalent now, such as flu and covid. Priscilla offered me testing and accompaniment on my journey in a way that got me to understand the actions that would lead to the best results, the toxins still inside me, and the specific nutrients I needed more of. I was able to slowly detox by getting rid of the main sources of continued poisoning. I learned to balance my electrolytes and blood sugar, and stress as well, all of which were instrumental in my recovery. “Working with Priscilla has been life changing—literally! In addition to helping me correct my diet, habits, and lifestyle based on my HTMA (hair tissue mineral analysis) results, she has helped me navigate the medical world, request and understand lab work, and so much more. “Before working with Priscilla, I was in a bit of a funk. I had just turned 71 and was having a hard time imagining an active lifestyle ahead in my future. I had bought into all the myths about aging, and the worst thing was that I was afraid my memory was at risk due to my age. Priscilla listened carefully to my concerns and shared some of her deep wisdom about what is required to live in a healthy way at any age. I was not an easy case, as I have a rather uncontrolled case of Type Two Diabetes, as well as coronary artery disease and some failing kidney function. "About a year and a half ago, my family didn’t know what to do about my mother's rapidly declining health. She was falling daily and could barely hold herself upright to sit. We put some things in place to help her, but they were bandages on her overall lack of health. The biggest changes have happened since my mother started seeing Priscilla with Wellness in Bloom last July. This week, my mother took a relatively substantial walk outside and had a full-body workout. It’s something I hadn’t thought possible just a short time ago.
